Growing up in the punk scene in Alaska, I encountered skilled foragers, farmers, fisherman and hunters, as it is a part of life there to be skilled and always learning more. I found myself being most attracted to foraging for food and medicine. I began my journey as an herbalist in the great white north, combing over giant swaths of yarrow, fiddlehead ferns and climbing trees to access precious chaga.

After moving to Colorado I saw a great lack of the same reverence I was taught by my Alaskan community. I’m here to bring the spirit of the Alaskan survivalist here to the states, where it is deeply needed .
